Featured Product: The Virtual Vehicle
Many Vehicles these days have multiple CAN busses, each assigned for communication
in specific sectors of the vehicle. All of these communication lines must also have a way to pass information back
and forth to each other, which is where the vehicles "Gateway" module comes in. The gateway is a bridge between
the busses, and also translates data from the "Powertrain" and "Body" busses out to the "Diagnostic"
bus so that the scantool can read diagnostic data. Flextech Solutions' test solution for this is the Virtual Vehicle.
The Virtual Vehicle includes the vehicles "Gateway" module as part of the test bed, allowing standard service scan
tools to talk to thier modules through the gateway. In addition, the Virtual Vehilce has onboard Simucan from EEPod,
so simulation of modules is made easy. Even Mixed Mode testing is a snap, having some modules simulated, and some live
on either bus. The Virtual Vehicle is a very powerful test and simulation tool in a very small package and is available
in a desktop enclosure, or a moble enclosure. You can even integrate the Virtual Vehicle into an existing rack mounted
test bed, it requires 3 rack spaces to rack mount.
